Areafour Recording Industries was born out of contradiction. The contradiction of a place which is home to refugees and millionaires alike. A place where music screams from the rooftops and skulks unnoticed in the shadows. We couldn't and shouldn't let that go.
So here it is, our two-fingered salute to the verbal abuse that so often comes Nottingham's way, giving the city's music scene a platform for it's unjustly underplayed, under heard talents. We're launching with a compilation CD paying homage to the very best sounds from the strings and skins of the city's finest guitar bands - and that's just the beginning. We know the bands are out there and we're not going to stop until we've answered Nottingham's critics in the most eloquent way we know how - pure, undeniable talent.
